Fed: Telstra not regional issue Labor
The federal opposition says people in the bush are interested in finding a job, not
selling Telstra.
Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD has spent much of his tour of regional Australia this week
promoting plans to sell the remainder of Telstra to fund better infrastructure in rural
communities.
Mr HOWARD has also vowed to ensure no further cuts to commonwealth services in regional areas.
